War Child wanted to conduct its first global child safeguarding policy review to assess their practice against international safeguarding standards. For this assignment we co-led activities to:

  • Develop an assessment framework to input and analyse findings from various data collection methodologies

  • Develop data collection tools and conduct research across its 6 offices with their staff as part of the review

  • Identify good practice and gaps within existing policy, procedures, and practice and identify key recommendations for action

  • Present review findings to senior leadership and discuss priority areas for further action

The review provided War Child with practical, user-friendly, and detailed findings which has enabled them to develop tailored action plans for each country office and their head office, and has already seen the organisation invest significantly more safeguarding resources where it is needed most.
